Ryan O’Leary, also known as the Rotaract King of Fiesta, was honored at the August 7 meeting with the Distinguished Service Award for his work as chairman of the Fiesta committee.
Ryan put in countless hours to ensure that the booth ran smoothly in its first year. The product mix of water, Monster drinks, Arizona Iced Tea and 4 kinds of ice cream treats were popular in the hot afternoons, despite all the competition in El Mercado.
Thanks also to his committee — Michelle, Melanie and Rita — and to all of the volunteers who donated time to make the booth a success. We made new friends, and we even made a little money to put toward future projects!
