Organist Matteo Galli and Pianist Francesco Attesti will perform Saturday, Sept. 29th at 8 p.m. at 305 East Anapamu. The event is presented by a local Rotary Club and the Italian American Boot Club.
It may be too late, but the Rotary Club has extended a special invite to interested Rotaract members and an unbeatable price: Free. You may still be able to secure a spot by emailing Scott Burns at wsburns@cox.net. Ask if he still needs ushers — just a half hour of your time.
Otherwise, general admission tickets are $30. Call 895-5394.

Meetings.
Come to the meeting to meet our newest members, enjoy free appetizers from Sharkeez and get involved in some of the many activities we have planned for October. There’s so many that it’s really a little silly.
This week’s special guest will be from the Santa Barbara Zoo. The zoo is looking for volunteers for its annual Boo at the Zoo weekend.
Other stuff on the agenda includes Poverty Conference * Summit for Danny * Bunny Festival * Santa Barbara Opera * Happy Hour * Night Hike * Rotaract Pen Pals in South Africa * Festival of Arts * Member Spotlight Mini Speech…
You get the idea. See you there!

The moon looked full. The air was still. The views were clear. The temperature was perfect.
Tunnel Trail winds up Mission Canyon, so we got a good workout and had a lot of great conversations. It was nice to have Jagger the pitbull join us again after he took a couple of months hiatus to recover from his car accident (he’s never been much of a driver).
Good luck to Crystal with the new school term, to Natira for her trip to Greece and to Genvieve with opera season approaching.
Join us tomorrow, Tuesday Sept. 25, at 6:15 p.m. for our nearly full moon night hike.
1. Beautiful scenery
2. Interesting people
3. Exercise
We’ll meet at 6:15 p.m. at the Santa Barbara Mission water fountain. From there, we’ll carpool up to Mission Canyon and hike Tunnel Trail for awhile.
Please RSVP with your phone number if you want us to wait for you (we’ll only wait for a little bit).
Wear sensible shoes. Bring a flashlight or headlamp, water and warm clothes. Dogs are welcome.

Our membership chair Rita recently visited China! Here’s what she had to say about the experience:
I went to China with other teachers from Dos Pueblos, San Marcos, and Carpinteria High. It was an amazing experience. The Chinese we met were so interested in learning more about Americans. We had a great time sharing and taking in the sites.
