You can still sign up to volunteer for the Scrabble Challenge for Literacy at the Santa Barbara Public Library on Friday September 28 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
(Click image for PDF brochure of the event)
The remaining training session for volunteers — who will serve as scorekeepers — is this Saturday, Sept. 22, at 10 a.m.
You can also support the library by competing in the tournament. All skill levels are welcome — really! You’ll be eligible for great prizes (and I hear they have lots), and you’ll be keeping your brain sharp. Everyone wins. Registration to compete costs $20.
Email bschwartzberg@santabarbara.gov to sign up to play or volunteer(and please CC sb_rotaract@yahoo.com) or call 805-564-5619 and tell Beverly that you’re with Rotaract.
Sure, it’s a Friday night, but when the tournament is over, the night will still be young, and your brain will be warmed up for witty conversation. Sign up now!
