Rotaract’s own Jennifer Haake has been coordinating Santa Barbara’s Summit for Danny event to raise money for the Daniel Bryant Youth & Family Treatment Center. In short, supporting this event supports the fight against youth drug abuse.
The event is the morning and afternoon of Oct. 27 (more about this day to come), and Jennifer, who works for the Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, needs volunteers. Contact her at jhaake@cadasb.org to sign up.
The day’s activities include 3 levels of hikes starting from Skofield Park. There’s easy, moderate and the 10-mile, 3,000-foot-elevation-gain difficult levels. Participants in the hikes raise at least $100 and get to enjoy the challenge of a hike and a post-hike BBQ.
Volunteers are needed along the trails and for the day’s activities in the park.
