Yes, “boo” is now a verb. To boo is to engage in activities related to the Santa Barbara Zoo’s annual Boo at the Zoo weekend.
The event staff seeks volunteers for its Boo Crew, the volunteer team that hands out candy, mans the games and activities, and dresses up as characters. The event runs 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday, October 26, through Sunday, October 28.
People are also needed to help build props and sets for the event in advance, including next Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to noon or 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Volunteer training is Tuesday, Oct. 23, at 6 p.m.
