If you’ve been bit by the volunteering bug, we have a last-minute invite to help the Rotary Club of Santa Barbara Sunrise with a work day at Camp Whittier (up near Lake Cachuma).
Rotarians will work tomorrow, Sat. Nov. 3, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. There will be lunch in the afternoon, and the day will end with a barbecue.
Projects may include: painting the fence around the pool, digging for irrigation pipes, cleanup efforts… Wear work clothes and bring a water bottle.
The camp is in a beautiful natural setting.
Directions: Highway 154 for 17 miles. One quarter mile before the entrance to Lake Cachuma Recreation Area there is a left turn lane and a sign for Camp Whittier. Turn left and follow the signs. Tell them you’re from Rotaract. If they look at you funny, ask for Joel Unger.
