The Rotary Club of Santa Barbara Sunrise is taking a trip to Biloxi, Mississippi in March to rebuild homes wrecked by Hurricane Katrina. This is a bit last minute, but if you’re interested in helping, it’s not too late.
The group will fly to New Orleans on March 15 and drive to Biloxi. Loding will be free at the First Presbyterian Church of Biloxi. From Macrch 17-21, the group will work on rebuilding homes in partnership with the Biloxi Rotary Club.
On March 22, they’ll return to New Orleans for a day of touring around, spend the night in a hotel and return to Santa Barbara on March 23.
They can still accomodate 4 to 6 additional volunteers. Your expenses would be airfare (approx. $400) and a portion of the cost to travel to Biloxi — a rental car most likely.
