The Fiddlers Convention is a day long celebration of American Folk Music at Stow House in Goleta sponsored by the Rotary Club of Santa Barbara Sunrise.
Come out to volunteer and enjoy a day of music, fellowship, and sunshine! Anyone with a fiddle, banjo or other Appalachian type instrument can come out and play, participate in a jam session, or compete for cash prizes! Don’t have an instrument? Bring yourself and your vocal chords!
Rotaract has been asked this year to help in this exciting event to inspire and foster love for music. Let’s bring together children and adults from the local community to enjoy and appreciate America’s rich musical heritage!
The Fiddler’s Convention will be held on October 5, 2008 from 10AM-5PM at the historic Stow House in Goleta. Please contact Jennifer Wang for more information or if you would like to volunteer. Volunteer admission is free.
Anyone interested in attending the Non-Profit Center’s BizBuzz 2008 Event, please e-mail Evan at evan@techease.com. As an event sponsor, he can put you on the list to receive free admission. Normally $40/attendee, it’s a great networking, development, and educational event for local non-profits. Send him your first and last name, the names of anybody at your organization who may wish to accompany you, and your organization’s name. Don’t forget to swing by their booth to say hi, and attend his table talk at 9:30. He’ll be sharing some impactful yet budget-conscious changes non-profits can make to dramatically enhance their organization’s effectiveness. And he might bust a rhyme. You never know.
BizBuzz 2008 takes place Wednesday, September 10th from 8:00am-10:30am at the Fess Parker DoubleTree Resort. http://www.supportcenter.org/bizbuzz/
