Volunteer Building Bikes on Dec. 6

This event could be a volunteer’s dream! You can sleep in a little, get fed, listen to music and be really useful.

Bikefest 2008 will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6.

329 Vereda Del Ciervo, Goleta
The day of contact person is Lou Ventura, and his phone numbers are 259-9317 and 685-1649.

We’ll be assembling children’s bikes that will be given to needy children throughout the community through many nonprofits. There are more than 500 bikes to be assembled! I’ve been told there will be lunch and live music. It’s a volunteering party!

If you can bring metric tools, that will be helpful. Useful sizes include 8,10,12,13,14,15,17. Channel locks and crescent wrenches are always needed. We will have some wrenches here if you can’t bring any. If you have no idea what those tools are or how to use them, you’re not alone! Show up, and you’ll be taught.

Please RSVP to liz@sbrotaract.com no later than Wednesday, Dec. 3 so we can let Lou know how many Rotaractors to expect.
