Calling All Hikers

Tunnel Trail

Wildflowers on Tunnel Trail 2010

It’s time again to take advantage of living somewhere this stinkin’ beautiful. Let’s go frolic in the mountains!

Here are the details for the next Rotaract night hike:

Who: You, your friends, your friendly dog and us.
When: Monday, June 28 at 6:30 p.m.
Where: Meet at Old Mission Santa Barbara. We’ll carpool to the trailhead from there.
What: We hike! We’ll head up Tunnel Trail. It’s only been open for a little while, and it’s interesting to see the area recovering from the fire. The hills have been carpeted with morning glories and other wildflowers.
Why: It’s fun. It’s healthy. We tell each other fun stories. Jack spots wildlife.

Come welcome the new Night Hike Co-Chairs — Jack and Cheyanne.

Please RSVP to liz@sbrotaract.com with your phone number if you plan on attending so we know who to wait for at the mission. We’ll depart promptly after 6:30, so please arrive on time.

June 15 Meeting

Come join us during our last Rotaract meeting of this Rotary year while we stop to smell the roses! Our second June meeting is tomorrow, June 15th at 6:30pm. We will be meeting in the grassy area by the Mission Rose Garden. Please bring something to sit on (blanket, towel, lawn chair) if you don’t want to sit directly in the grass. You are welcome to bring some food with you if you’d like since it will be dinner time and we aren’t meeting at a place that has food.

Here is a link to check the weather for tomorrow. It will probably be in the mid/low 60s when we meet, so remember to bring a sweater!
