Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season! Our first meeting of 2010 is Tuesday, January 5 at 6:30pm at the downtown Silvergreens.

Victoria Bentley from the Montecito Rotary Club will be our guest speaker and will be telling us all about the international project in Africa that we are helping fund. It is going to be a great meeting, and I hope to see you all there!

Rotaract Hosts Holiday Fun

Emily and Courtlin show off their white elephant gifts at the Rotaract holiday party.

Thanks to all who attended the Rotaract Holiday Party, the party organizers and California Pasta for donating dinner.

Here’s to 2010! The fun starts with our first meeting on Tuesday, January 5, at 6:30 PM at Silvergreens in Santa Barbara.

This Week: Party Instead of Meeting

There will be no meeting on Tuesday, December 15.

Instead, we will celebrate together at our annual holiday party on Friday, December 18.

We don’t plan to share the party details with the worldwide Interweb, but you can find out more by emailing lucille@sbrotaract.com.

The Rotaract Club of Santa Barbara holiday party is home to one of the three best white elephant gift exchanges in town, tasty morsels and lots of fabulous 20-somethings. If you make the party your first Rotaract event, I assure you it won’t be your last one. You’ll be back for more. Just introduce yourself to Lucille via email first. lucille@sbrotaract.com.

Meeting at Braille Institute on Tuesday, May 19

Don’t miss a special Rotaract meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the upstairs conference room of the Braille Institute at 2031 De La Vina Street (map).

Debbie Cox Bultan of the Coastal Housing Coalition will speak about what it takes in this town to keep a roof over your head. We’ll also discuss upcoming events, socials and a pretty fantastic party at the SB Zoo.
After the meeting we’ll head across the street to Taffy’s for our pizza fundraiser. Print out the flyer here and bring it with you. A percentage of all purchases made with this flyer will benefit polio eradication. Polio remains in only 4 countries in the world, thanks to the efforts of Rotary International.
