This weekend we hosted 6 Rotaractors from San Diego and 1 from D.C. Now we have more than 7 new friends (seriously) and a strong urge to go visit San Diego.
Here’s the short version of our weekend:
Friday night: It was late, and it was Goleta, which meant one thing: Freebird’sĀ burritos (and quesoritos) for all.
Saturday: We drove up the coast to the
Arroyo Hondo Preserve to
pull out thistle, improve drainage on a trail and prune along the way. Then we rewarded ourselves with lunch, cookies and
loungingĀ at Goleta Beach. We hit the hot tub and then cleaned up to head downtown. While our
guests had dinner at
Paradise Cafe, some Santa Barbara Rotaractors got ready for the evening’s party. And then, we had an evening of, ahem,
fellowship and lemon meringue pie from the Goleta Lemon Festival.
